SUMMARY:Ribbon Cutting: Miles of Smiles
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a special grand opening as we celebrate Miles of Smiles’ new location! Miles of Smiles is a free\, portable dental care program for low-income children in Clay and Platt Counties. They partner with all school districts in the Northland to bring our dental treatment to students whose families have no access to dental care – either uninsured\, underinsured or on Medicaid. They  provide preventative dental appointments\, complete treatment plans for restorative care and follow-up visits to nearly 5000 students each year\, at no cost to our patients. Miles of Smiles treats children up to 18 years of age\, and 75% of the treatment provided is fillings and extractions. All of their patients receive a comprehensive exam\, cleaning and x-rays. \nTheir new office location offers more space for a third operatory along with a larger waiting room and added storage for our equipment.They’ll also be displaying their new mobile clinic at our Open House\, which is a dental unit on wheels! Having a new office and mobile unit allows them to see more kids in more places\, but in less time. \nAppetizers will be served from Godfather’s Pizza and Bojo’s\, along with giveaways from Zona Rosa!
